LAYYAH (Sarzameen News)- Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has lashed out at political opponents of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in an address delivered to a public rally on Tuesday by saying that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan is a liar and cannot deserve people’s votes.
In his speech, Punjab CM alleged PTI chief of feeding lies to the people all 24 hours and that a liar cannot deserve people’s votes.
Sharif claimed that government of PTI did not do anything for development of the people in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). He reiterated his accusation of incompetence by saying that Khan was residing in the mountains when the people of KP were suffering of a dengue outbreak.
Punjab CM asserted that the provincial government of Punjab spent funds for the welfare of the people and that the government
faced the challenges in leadership of former premier Nawaz Sharif.
He accused former premier Asif Ali Zardari of being knee-deep in corruption by saying that a person like him vows to hold leadership of PML-N accountable for alleged corruption. He said that it was a sign of Judgment Day if a corrupt person such as Zardari talks about holding people accountable.
Shehbaz Sharif said that inauguration of mobile health unit in Layyah is a source of pride for him.
He asserted that at least Rs 5 billion were spent on roads and infrastructure in Layyah in the past four and a half years.
Farmers were provided subsidized fertilizers, he added.
Punjab CM vowed to build a university in Layyah and introduce a Speedo Bus System there if PML-N is given mandate by the people in General Elections 2018.
