Nawaz Sharif assumed federal power with fake mandate: Zardari

ISLAMABAD (Sarzameen News)- Former president and co-chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari has alleged disqualified premier Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday to have had come to power with ‘fake’ mandate in General Elections 2013.

Zardari addressed a public rally in the federal capital today and during his speech, he said that he would not come for Nawaz Sharif’s rescue but fight him in the elections.

PPP leader alleged Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president of bankrupting the country and that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has nothing to offer to the people of Pakistan.

He asserted that both ‘Godfather’ and the ‘bogus Khan’ are unable to understand that everything is due to the workers of political parties. Whatever is going to happen, it is going to happen owing to the votes, he added.

Zardari claimed to have saved the government of Nawaz Sharif twice, once after a bogus election in 2013 and the other time when PTI demonstrated a sit-in in D-Chowk of Islamabad, the longest running sit-in in Pakistan’s history.

PPP co-chairman said that Benazir Bhutto would have been really happy to see the political front complete 50 years of existence had she not passed away.

He urged workers of the party to practice devotion with PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Asifa Bhutto like that showed to him and late Benazir. He claimed that PPP gave ‘identity’ to Pakhtoons during its tenure and said that economic growth was better during the party’s tenure in the federal government.

Zardari said that India cannot treat Pakistan as she does Nepal owing to being a nuclear power.

He also said that Kashmir remains the jugular vein of Pakistan and would not be compromised over. While talking about Pakistan’s terms with Afghanistan, he requested that Afghan brothers listen to Pakistan’s stance.

He urged the Afghan people to not misunderstand Pakistan’s motives. Zardari asserted that Pakistan wants to see Afghanistan progress and actions are needed for that.
