LAHORE (Sarzameen News)- Najam Sethi was chosen Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) new Chairman for the next three years in a meeting.
The PCB’s Board of Governors met on Wednesday to select a new chairman of the governing board.
No other candidate had filed his/her’s nomination papers.
Sethi was one direct nominee of ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif for the position, the other being Ariff Ejaz.
The brain behind the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be taking over the reigns from Shahryar Khan who announced his retirement citing health and personal reasons.
Aged 69, Sethi is a prominent journalist and has also served as a caretaker chief minister for Punjab province.
