RAWALPINDI (Sarzameen News)- The Punjab gov’t has decided to monitor the registration of the public and private blood banks to ensure supply of disease-free blood to the patients.
The decision came amid growing complaints about the adulterated blood, which spread diseases among the patents.
The blood transfusion authority will establish a regional office in Rawalpindi. A meeting will be held next week in which the procedure of the appointing the staff, laboratory material, vehicles and separate buildings for the offices will be discussed.
The Provincial government has decided to establish governmental blood bank registration and licensing office in Rawalpindi district to prohibit transmissible disease through providing free of disease blood for the patients.
According to sources, health chief executive gave authority to Rawalpindi to help blood banks infection, registration or licensing of blood banks on district level and also help in implementation of rules and regulation on them.
