ISLAMABAD (Sarzameen News) – A resolution was submitted in the National Assembly today (Friday), demanding action against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister, Pervaiz Khattak under Article 6 of the Constitution.
The resolution was moved by Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders, Ali Raza Abidi and Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.
The resolution states that KPK CM promoted provincialism and gave anti-state remarks during his recent speech. The house was take notice of the statements that fall under the category of committing treason against the state.
Pervaiz Khattak, while talking to party workers in Nowshera on Sunday, said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will rebel if Nawaz Sharif tried to stop his party workers from heading towards Islamabad.
“You have challenged Pathans, we will respond befittingly if you try to stop us,” Khattak remarked.
The MQM has already submitted a resolution against Khattak in the Sindh Assembly.
