ISLAMABAD (Sarzameen News) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has chaired a meeting of the cabinet on Wednesday during which he warned Imran Khan, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) against his alleged negative politics.
During his address to the participants of the federal cabinet meeting, the premier asserted that the economy would progress at even rapid pace if there were no sit-ins.
Sources privy to the government reported that the premier highlighted the fact that Khan was yet to apologize to the nation over 126-day long sit-in and formation of a commission by the Supreme Court (SC) to probe Panama Leaks.
Nawaz Sharif said that the people have rejected politics revolving around sit-ins and favoured ruling party’s effective policies.
He said that Asian Development Bank (ADB) and International Monetary Fund (IMF) termed sit-ins and unnecessary demonstrations damaging for country’s development. The premier lauded Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan for efforts to curb deadlock with PTI and resolve the issue over November 2 protest.
Acknowledging the mention, Nisar thanked the premier and said that his actions reflected the policy of PML-N and directives of Nawaz Sharif.
